Starting from the historical avant-garde, from Anton Webern as “light” and to follow in the 50s of the twentieth century with Bruno Maderna and Luciano Berio, the “foundations” are laid on which to raise an ideal building with works by 21st century composers.
Four significant pieces of the aforementioned composers will be performed:
- Anton Webern, the “Variations” op. 27 for piano, performed by maestro Kaori Matsui;
- Luciano Berio, the “Sequenza” IXb for alto saxophone, performed by maestro Eugenio Colombo;
- Luciano Berio, the “Sequenza” (the VI) for viola, performed by maestro Francesco Fiore;
- Bruno Maderna, “Music on two dimensions” for flute and magnetic tape, performed by maestro Paolo Bonvino.
Curator: maestro Pasquale Sabatelli
The exhibition will show the works by Luis Alberto Alvarez.
